Homeless Veterans

AP - Study: 1 out of 4 homeless are veterans

Veterans make up one in four homeless people in the United States, though they are only 11 percent of the general adult population, according to a report to be released Thursday.

Also, about 44 percent of homeless in the United States actually work.

This is hardly surprising. Generally the type of person who is homeless is the same type of person who joins the military - from lower classes, low levels of education, etc. The data seems to suggest that homelessness is caused by military life, when in fact, the two have no relationship.

"anonymous" is no doubt one of those yellow magnet, cheering Chimpleton cowards who happily send these guys and gals off to be maimed and killed-while he sits comfortably in his La-Z-Boy and blames the problems they come home with on THEM.

I'd end the homeless vet problem with one stroke of the pen if I had the power. I'd sign legislation mandating that a homeless vet was entitled to the housing of any Bush supporter of military service-eligible age who had never enlisted.

I don't blame him for not putting up a URL. If I was a scumbag coward I'd stay anonymous too.
