The Daily Mail - Burma: Thousands dead in massacre of the monks dumped in the jungle (
UPDATE - October 12, 2007. 6:45 pm: This article originally appeared in the Daily Mail at
this link. I see that it has been totally rewritten. What the article was originally about is pretty much buried in nonsense about some suits having a meeting that won’t solve anything and propaganda like
"Normalcy has now returned in Myanmar," Foreign Minister Nyan Win told the UN General Assembly in New York, adding that security forces acted with restraint for a month but had to "take action to restore the situation." The original article still appears on the London Lite website, it can be
seen here.)
Thousands of protesters are dead and the bodies of hundreds of executed monks have been dumped in the jungle, a former intelligence officer for Burma's ruling junta has revealed.
The most senior official to defect so far, Hla Win, said: "Many more people have been killed in recent days than you've heard about. The bodies can be counted in several thousand."
Mr Win, who spoke out as a Swedish diplomat predicted that the revolt has failed, said he fled when he was ordered to take part in a massacre of holy men. He has now reached the border with Thailand.

My question is "Why are we so concerned about the poor Mexicans when there are so many populations and refugees floating around the world looking for a home?"
